Paraguay - Starlink Deployment and New 5G Spectrum Tender

Recently, the Government of Paraguay launched 1,600 Starlink kits during the presentation of its “Digital Inclusion and Connectivity Expansion” project. These kits have been authorized by the National Telecommunications Commission of Paraguay (CONATEL) to provide satellite communication services using the E-band and W-band, aiming to deliver high-speed internet access to schools, healthcare centers and communities in remote inland areas of the country.

During the event, it was announced that CONATEL had initiated a new 5G spectrum tender, offering two spectrum blocks of 100MHz each.
