Brazil - Special Inspection on Telecommunications Products

On 14th January 2026, the National Telecommunications Agency of Brazil (ANATEL) published a press release, reporting on an enforcement inspection conducted on 8th January at a major shopping mall in Maceió.

During the operation, approximately 50 uncertified telecom electronic products were seized and prohibited to be sold, including mobile phones, mobile phone accessories and other electronic devices, with an estimated value of BRL 12,000. The crackdown on these uncertified products helps to protect consumers and maintainfair market competition.
