New Zealand - 2300MHz and 2600MHz Management Rights Review

On 20th November 2025, the New Zealand Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) issued a public consultation on the future use and allocation of the 2300MHz and 2600MHz frequency bands.


As part of the consultation process, RSM has published a discussion document which outlines band configurations options, allocation approaches, spectrum caps, and the future of non-national rights. It also seeks feedback on the term of future Management Rights and alignment of expiry dates across mid-band spectrum.


All comments and suggestions can be submitted via email to Radio.Spectrum@mbie.govt.nz before 5pm on 23rd January 2026 with the subject ‘2300 MHz and 2600 MHz rights review’, or by post to:
