Nigeria - Draft Regulatory Guidelines on WIFI 6E

Recently, the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) published draft Regulatory Guidelines for the use of the lower part of the 6 GHz (5925 - 6425 MHz) band in Nigeria.


The main points are as below:

1.   The access and usage of frequencies in this band/range (5925 - 6425 MHz) are on a license-exempt basis. Users of the lower 6 GHz band are expected to apply and obtain an Operational License-exemption certificate from the Commission to operate within this band.

2.     Technical Parameters are as below:

Very Low Power (VLP) Indoor and outdoor use

i. Use on drones is prohibited.
