Papua New Guinea - Type Approval Online Platform

Recently, the National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) of Papua New Guinea has officially activated the Type Approval Online system.

Main Changes are as below:

1.     New applications must be submitted via the new online system. New certificates approved now will validfor 3 years’ only, instead of previous permanent validity.

2.    Certificates approved prior to the launch of the new online system (i.e.before 24 June 2025) will remain valid, but all will expire on 10th June 2028.

3.    Renewal applications must be submitted at least one month before the expiry date to avoid any disruption in compliance.

4.     Upon approval, product certification details will be published on the online system for public reference.
