Eswatini - Phase out 2G and 3G mobile networksOn 17th Jun 2025, the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) announced its decision tophase out 2G and 3G mobile networks. The main points are as follows: 1. A ban on the importation and type approval of 2G-only and 3G-only mobile devices will take effect on 30th Nov 2025. 2. All 2G networks in the country will be officially shut down on 31st Dec 2028. 3. All 3G networks in the country will be officially shut down on 31st Dec 2030.
