South Africa - Notification of Strike Action

On 19th November 2024, the National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu),has officially notified the management of the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) of its intention to embark on strike action.

The strike started on 20th November 2024, and was announced to be indefinite until they have reached an agreement and if workers will accept the offers on the table.

The strike will affect market surveillance activities, processing authorizations,certifications and related services provided by NRCS.
