India TEC - Two Public Consultations

Recently, the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India released two public consultations:


1. On 6th April 2026, TEC issued the draft standard for Generic Requirements on Fixed Wireless Phone, covering its facilities, features and performance requirements. All comments and suggestions can be submitted by 5th June 2026 online, or as an attachment to adgn3.tec@gov.in using the format provided in Annex A of the draft.


2. On 7th April 2026, TEC issued the draft Essential Requirements for Equipment Operating in 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz Bands, covering all types of PTP PMP Wireless Access Equipment, Wi-Fi Access Points and CPE, as well as WLAN Controller Equipment. The draft is an update to the previous ER and mainly introduces new requirements related to the 6GHz band. All comments and suggestions can be submitted by 6th June 2026 online, or via email to adetr.tec@gov.in, ddgsat.tec@gov.in, dirr2.tec@gov.in.
