Singapore - Extension of CBS Non-Compliance Reporting Deadline

Further to Alphabet Newsletter issued on 23rd March 2026, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore issued a notice on 2nd March 2026 to remind that as of 1st April 2026, CBS requirements are enforced for mobile handsets registered with IMDA.   Dealers and equipment suppliers are to ensure that the mobile handsets sold in Singapore comply with these requirements.

For those mobile handsets that are unable to comply to this requirement, IMDA has extended the deadline for reporting non-compliance mobile handsets to 10th April 2026. IMDA may take action against any non-compliant mobile handsets thereafter.
