Brazil - 6GHz Spectrum Strategy

On 1st April 2026, the National Telecommunications Agency of Brazil (ANATEL) participated remotely in the “First 6GHz Dialogue: Policy, Technology and Deployment”. The event brought together regulatory officials, industry representatives and international experts from different countries to discuss public policies, technological developments and implementation strategies for advancing the use of the 6GHz band globally.

At present, the allocation of the 6GHz band has already been incorporated into Brazil’s Plan for the Allocation, Designation and Distribution of Frequency Bands (PDFF). Meanwhile, ANATEL continues to carry out technical studies and coexistence testing among different wireless technologies. In addition, ANATEL is expected to launch the spectrum auction for the upper 6GHz band around 2028.
