Mongolia - Updated Procedure for CertificationRecently, the Communications Regulatory Commission of Mongolia (CRC) published the updated Procedure for Certification of Information and Communication Equipment approved under Resolution No. 24 of 2026, which aims to improve the procedures for mandatory and voluntary conformity assessment of radio and telecommunications equipment. Main Changes are as below: 1. Remove the 6 years validity requirement and imposed no validity limit on test reports. 2. Introduce specific certification schemes 1a, 4, 6, and 7, with validity periods of 3 or 4 years depending on the equipment category and origin. - Scheme 1a for 4-year validity applies for imported equipment with samples submitted for evaluation. A sample of the equipment will be taken for radio frequency measurement. - Scheme 7 for 3-year validity applies for imported equipment without samples submitted for evaluation. - Scheme 4 and 6 apply to the conformity evaluation of domestically manufacturing equipment for internal or export use. 3. A review will be conducted 1 year after the certificate of conformity is issued. |
