Eswatini - Control of the Importation, Type Approval and Distribution of Electronic Communications Equipment

Recently, the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) published the General Notice No.4/2026, requiring valid Type Approval Certificates from all entities intending to import or use electronic communications equipment in Eswatini from 13th April 2026. ESCCOM will collaborate with the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) to conduct inspection and verification procedures through the ASYCUDA World system for managing Customs declarations at all ports of entry to ensure compliance with this requirement.
