Kenya - Technical Specifications for Mobile Cellular Devices

On 24th March 2026, the Communications Authority (CA) of Kenya released the Technical Specifications for Mobile Cellular Devices, setting out the minimum technical requirement for mobile cellular devices. Mobile cellular devices include smartphones, feature phones and tablets. The Technical Specifications cover requirements for power supply, frequency utilization, RF output power, safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), radiated emissions, specific absorption rate (SAR), restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) and accessibility for persons with disabilities.
