Ghana - Public Consultation on Technical Specifications for Terminal Communication Equipment

On 10th February 2026, the National Communications Authority (NCA) released a public consultation on the Technical Specifications for Terminal Communication Equipment (TCE), which employs GSM, IMT-2000 and IMT-2020 technologies. The draft specification sets out the general requirements and technical standards regarding safety, interoperability, performance, equipment marking and emergency functions.

All comments and suggestions can be submitted by 9th March 2026 to in-fo@nca.org.gh. Respondents are requested to complete and attach a response cover sheet (see Page iii of the public consultation document) to prepare comments. The submitted documents should be presented in Microsoft Word and will be published on NCA website.
