Cape Verde - Public Consultation on Updated National Frequency Allocation Plan

On 23rd December 2025, Agência Reguladora Multissectorial da Economia (ARME) launched a public consultation regarding the updated National Frequency Allocation Plan. Mainpoints are as below:


1. Allocating the 380 - 470 MHz to Public Protection and Disaster Relief (PPDR) services.

2. Reserving new bands 2300 - 2400 MHz, 3300 - 3400MHz, 4800 - 4990 MHz, 66 - 71 GHz for electronic communications services. The right of use needs to be acquired via Public Tender/Bidding or Auction procedure.

3. Allocating the 863 - 870 MHz to IoT applications, aligned with recommendations from the African Telecommunication Union (ATU).

4. Including new resolutions adopted at the 2023 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-23).
