Chile -  Public Consultation – Third 5G Bidding Process in 3.5 GHz

On 25th November 2025, the Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones de Chile (SUBTEL) launched a public consultation on the potential third 5G spectrum auction in the 3.5 GHz band. The public consultation aims to evaluate the current availability of spectrum, future capacity needs, and the technical and regulatory conditions that should be considered in a potential new allocation.

In addition, SUBTEL also raised the possibility of expanding 5G services to the adjacent 3.65–3.8 GHz, which is currently allocated to fixed wireless links, satellite services, and limited 5G deployments.

Feedback and comments must be submitted online by 23:59 local time on 24th December 2025.
