Brazil - Public Consultation on  Revocation and Amendment of ANATEL Telecom Regulations

On 10th November 2025, the National Telecommunications Agency of Brazil (ANATEL) released Public Consultation No. 44, seeking public opinions on the revocation and amendment of existing ANATEL telecommunications regulations. Main points are as below:

1.    Revoking ANATEL Resolution No. 747, under which the relevant frequency bands (54 - 72MHz, 174 - 216 MHz, 470 - 608 MHz, and 614 - 698 MHz) may be reallocated.

2.    Adding a sole paragraph to Article 1 of ANATEL Resolution No. 721, requiring that Sound Broadcasting Services in Decametric Waves must meet the criteria established in Consolidation Ordinance GM/MCOM No. 1.

3.    Revoking and amending some other existing ANATEL telecom regulations.
