Thailand TISI - Three Public Consultations

On 9th July 2026, the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) launched three public consultations regarding standards of batteries:

1.Draft specific guidelines for Portable Power Bank Batteries:Safety Requirements, TIS 2879-2567.

2.Draft specific guidelines for Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acidic electrolytes - Safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cells and for batteries made from portable sealed secondary cells for portable applications - Volume 1, Nickelsystem, TIS 62133 Part 1-2565。

3.Draft specific guidelines for Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acidic electrolytes - Safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cells and for batteries made from portable sealed secondary cells for portable applications - Volume 2, Lithium Systems, TIS 62133 Part 2-2565.

All comments and suggestions can be submitted separately via online feedback form 1, form 2 and form 3 by 7th August 2026.
