India TEC - Public Consultation on Updated Safety Requirements  for Telecom Equipment

On 12th July 2026, the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India released a public consultation seeking stakeholder comments on Draft for Updated Safety Requirements of Telecommunication Equipment (TEC 10009: 2026).

The revision primarily introduces a new product category, Automotive Tracking Device Integrated System, together with the applicable standard IS 16833: 2018.

All comments and suggestions can be submitted by 11th September 2026 online, or via email to adetr.tec@gov.in,dirr2.tec@gov.inand ddgsat.tec@gov.in.
