Indonesia - Adjustment to EWS Message Font

On 7th January 2026, the Ministry of Communications and Digital of Indonesia (KOMDIGI) published Circular Letter No. 4 of 2025, regarding the adjustment to Natural Disaster Early Earning Systems on telecommunication devices and/or digital television receiver devices based on DVB-T2 technology.

1.     The font used for EWS messages issued by the Natural Disaster Early Warning System on telecommunication devices and/or digital television receivers based on DVB-T2 technology is no longer limited to the Arial font. Manufacturers may freely select the font to be used.

2.     The font used for EWS messages must be upright and clearly legible to users.
